Restless Leg Syndrome

About

Rest-less (adjective) leg (noun) syn-drome (noun), as defined by Miriam and Webster Dictionary, is:

1 – A condition in which one’s bottom-most extremities twitch and stomp uncontrollably, against the will of the person to which they belong.

This affliction is common among children between the ages of 3 and 7; ecstasy users; general crackheads; and college students sitting in dorm rooms with their noses pressed against the glass of their windows, endlessly refreshing their computers, pacing around rooms, campuses and cities threatening to tear their hair out.

We are the last example.

Or, for a more direct definition:

Restless Leg Syndrome is a music and culture blog based in Boston. It was founded in 2010 by two BU journalism students with a passion for music, writing, and overanalyzing things. RLS includes the usual aspects of music blogs (new music, album reviews, concert photography, events listings, etc) but is set apart by reflections on the relationship between contemporary music and the world at large, and the personal effect music has on our lives. RLS is still evolving, but we promise to bring Boston thoughtful posts and tons of sweet tunes to get those restless legs two-stepping!

Hey Guys,

We dig your website, and finally thought we had occasion to write to you. We are a Boston band called Ocean*Transfer, and we’ve just released our self-titled, debut EP (we played our CD Release at the Middle East in Cambridge, MA on 4/8).

We’ve gotten airplay on WFNX Boston, and we are currently in the final voting round (Elite 8!) of 92.9′s Earthfest Local Band Contest. If we win, we’ll open up the show at Earthfest and play for 30 thousand people.

Our next show is May 17th at TT The Bear’s Place in Cambridge, MA, as a part of the release of a Zippah Recording Compilation CD that we’re featured on. Here is the facebook link:http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=117717131644961

We are really excited at everything that has happened over the last month, and thought we would drop you a line to see if we could send you a copy of our CD! It is streaming on our website (www.oceantransfermusic.com), and on Itunes, but we could also drop one in the mail. We’re also streaming at http://www.bandcamp.oceantransfer.com

Thanks for reading,
Brian
